A DBI Global Certification Partner (DBI-GCP) is an organization authorized to issue DBI certificates, ensuring adherence to DBI's certification standards.
Can a GTP be a GCP?
GTP offers training in collaboration with DBI, while GCP may only offer DBI Digital Literacy Certification. A GCP can also register as a GTP.

What are the requirements for registering as a GTP
DBI has established quality metrics for prospecting GTP/GCP;
- A minimum of 20 Computer Systems with a minimum configuration of Intel Core i3 Processor or equivalent, 4GB RAM, 25oGB Storage drives, Servers and networking equipment to support network infrastructure, internet connectivity, and data storage.
- Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Proof of Payment of Tax (Provide Tax Clearance Certificate).
- Particulars of Key Management Staff and their Contact Details.
- GTP must have at least two graduate-level in-house professional tech trainers with relevant academic qualifications and professional experience.
- The GTP training centre must satisfy DBI ergonomic requirements, provide comfortable seating, adequate lighting, have a suitable hall arrangement, and have minimal distractions.
- Accessibility and Inclusivity design and tools such as Ramps, adaptable restrooms to accommodate students with disabilities, and specialized software and hardware to support students with disabilities.
- Health Safety and Environment Policy of the Centre.
- Evidence of reliable internet connection.
- Functional Learning Management System.
Does the exact requirement for GTPs apply to Edtech?
For educational technology (edtech organizations); the physical infrastructural requirements would not be required; however, they should have the following;
- A Learning Management System platform to host, manage, and deliver online courses, track student progress, and provide analytics.
- Scalable and secure servers to handle large amounts of data, ensure uptime, and protect student information.
- Fast and stable internet connectivity to support seamless online learning experiences.
- Adequate devices, such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones, to support online learning, and equipment like headphones, microphones, and webcams for interactive sessions.
- Cybersecurity standards, such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection, to safeguard student data and protect against cyber threats.
- A dedicated team to provide timely technical assistance, resolve issues, and ensure smooth online learning experiences.
- Instructional Designers are needed to design engaging, interactive, practical, and effective online courses.
- Qualified trainers and instructors to deliver online training sessions, provide feedback, and support students.
- Adequate online support services, such as counselling, mentoring, and academic advising, to ensure student success.
- The centre should have modern training delivery tools, such as Projectors, Flat-Panel Displays, and other educational technology equipment.
- The technical trainers must have at least 5 years’ experience in ICT training delivery.
- The trainers must have basic knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery methods.
- The trainers should have at least one industry-recognized certification.
- The centre should have a robust assessment and evaluation process to measure student progress.
- The centre should have a quality assurance process in place to monitor and improve training delivery.
- The proposed GTP/GCP would be required to provide evidence of its funding sources and a SCUML Certificate (Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering).
- The Prospective GTP/GCP must provide evidence of three years Tax Clearance Certificates.
How sure am I of the quality of DBI Certification?
The quality of DBI Digital Literacy Certification is assured. It addresses the 7Cs of literacy: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Computing and ICT Literacy, Cross-cultural Understanding, and Career and Learning Self-Reliance. The DBI Digital Literacy Certification is mapped to different global certification standards and further contextualized to addressed the digital literacy needs of the Nigeria.
How standardized is DBI Service and Certification.
The Digital Bridge Institute is at the advanced stage of getting Iso certification standard for ISO/IEC 17024:2012 that provides general requirements for bodies operating certification of person; ISO 900:2015 is a globally recognized standard for quality management systems (QMS) that helps organizations consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve their processes and ISO/IEC 27001 a standard that provides a framework for organizations to establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain, and continually improve an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect their information assets. Furthermore DBI is at an advance stage of becoming a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) is a worldwide association of accreditation bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment in the fields of management systems, products, processes, services, personnel, validation and verification and other similar programmes of conformity assessment.
What is the GTP Registration Process.
- 1st Stage
- Apply to be registered as GTP. Fill the online registration form.
- Provide all the requirement stated herein.
- Upload required documents and video/pictures of the GTP training centre.
- Pay the required application fee.
- DBI reviews the application and documents of the potential GTP.
- The potential GTP is informed of the progress of the review.
- 2nd Stage
- DBI conduct a physical inspection of the GTP Centre and reviews the application further.
- Potential GTP is informed of the assessment and evaluation outcome and requiresd adjustment. Where the requirement falls short significantly, the application is rejected.
- Where application is accepted, official confirmation is sent to the potential GTP.
- 3rd Stage.

a.On successful assessment and evaluation of a potential GTP, the potential GTP will proceed to do the following;
- Sign a memorandum of understanding and Service Level Agreement with DBI.
- They will agree on the following.
- DBI will establish and maintain certification, training and quality control standards, examination processes, and assessment criteria for evaluating GCP/GTP, continuous improvement and performance management.

- An Innovation Support Network (ISN) is a collaborative ecosystem that brings together various stakeholders to support innovation and entrepreneurship. The network provides resources, expertise, and connections to help innovators and entrepreneurs develop and scale their ideas.
- The Network of Incubators & Innovators in Nigeria (NINE) is an enterprise support organization that empowers Nigerian hubs, startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Their mission is to create opportunities for stakeholders to thrive through knowledge management and capacity development activities, linkages, and access to growth prospects
- A Public Service Training Institute are ICt training centres owned by Federal, State or Local Governments.
How does the DBI Digital Literacy Certification fill the digital skills gap?
